Orange River
Colorful collection. Offered in ten melange tones.
The Orange River is a river in Southern Africa. It is the longest river within the borders of Lesotho and the Orange River Basin extends extensively into South Africa, Namibia and Botswana to the north.
South Africa is a water scarce country where the demand for water is in excess of natural wateravailability in several river basins. The effects of variable rainfall patterns and different climatic regimes are compounded by high evaporation rates across the country. Existing water scarcity in the lower Orange River Basin is likely to be further aggravated by the impacts of climate change.
